This series of 6 in-depth sessions led by coaches Mario Fraioli and Peter Bromka, with additional support from subject matter experts, will help you put the big building blocks of marathon training into place so that you’re as prepared as ever when you step to the start line this fall. Whether you’re racing in Berlin, Chicago, or New York, chasing a PR in Sacramento or Valencia, or lining up at Twin Cities, Indy, or elsewhere, the Fall Marathon Workshop Series will ensure that you show up ready to roll.

Who is this for?

Anyone training for a fall marathon! It’s ideal for self-coached athletes looking for guidance and support, but it’s also great for athletes who are already working with a coach and seeking additional resources to complement their training plan.

When is it happening?

6 Fridays in a row: August 15, 22, 29; September 5, 12, 19. All sessions will be held from 11 AM-12 PM PST.

Where is it being held?

On Zoom! Each session will be recorded and shared with all participants afterward.

Session 1: Getting the Most Out of Your Training Block (and Yourself)

Coaches Mario and Peter will teach you how to structure your training block to ensure you have your priorities straight and can get the most out of it.

Session 2: Becoming a Resilient Athlete 

Anh Bui DPT, CSCS will discuss how to think about and implement strength training into your marathon training schedule so that you can stay healthy, move well, and support the specific demands of your increased running load.

Session 3: Staring Down an Intimidating Distance

Emily Saul, sports psychologist, will help you build the necessary mental muscle to navigate the ups and downs of marathon training, as well as help you hone the strategies to go the distance on race day.

Session 4: Fueling to Train

Kylee Van Horn, RDN will teach you how to address your day-to-day nutrition needs so that you can get the most out of your key sessions, recover well, and set yourself up for success before you even step to the start line.

Session 5: Keeping the Tank Topped Off on Race Day

Andy Blow, co-founder of Precision Fuel & Hydration, will go deep on all things fueling and hydration for race day so that you can figure out your needs and dial in a strategy that’s right for you.

Session 6: Executing With Confidence

Coaches Mario and Peter will provide you the tools to help put together a race plan that gives you the confidence to go after your goal.
